Video software to get rid of to much bass?

Is there any free video software that will help me clean up the videos I made of Hit The Lights & All Time Low from Warped Tour yesterday? I really wanna be able to hear it but it’s so damn fuzzy!

    There is NO software that can fix this.

    But this is a GREAT example of a camcorder’s auto mic gain circuit getting overdriven (the muddy sound) and peaking (the static).

    The ONLY resolution is to capture the audio correctly the first time with some sort of manual audio control.

    Some Sony consumer camcorders have a "MicRefLevel" menu setting that sets the mic gain for "Normal" or Low" gain (for high volume situations). Even better is the Canon HV40 – which is the least expensive camcorder available (of which I am aware) that has more granular manual audio control and a (stereo) mic jack.

    You could also use an audio "field recorder" like those from Zoom, M-Audio, Tascam, Edirol, and many others and use it’s manual audio control… then, when you edit the video, import that audio, too – then mute the audio brought in with the camcorder.
