Your HDC-HS9 has several video modes... be sure you are setting the correct one. It supports both 1920x1080/50i and 1920x1080/25p... so sure, it's quite possible you have been recording interlaced. Also, the HDV-like mode, 1440x1920/50i, is always interlaced.

If you're seeing true field to field motion, "mice teeth", etc. in a single frame, you are definitely shooing in interlaced mode. Here's a bit about it:

Of course, if your output target is also an interlaced display (TV, Blu-Ray, DVD, etc), there won't be any problem using the 1080/50i video. You'll also lose most if not all of the interlacing effect if you're downsizing from HD to SD or web formats. I have done many shoots in 1080/60i, made great Blu-Ray and DVD from this, and also online stuff that looks fine.

Here's a review of the HS9, which also shows how to turn the progressive mode on and off... it's a separate function from setting the resolution.

the monitor might be the problem here , or you will have to interlace using your editing software , there will be a function as you save the file in the settings under custom settings , this is usually used to make the file size smaller , and is probably an out dated function considering that tv and media which is used for the end products from high definition.
I would expect the software which makes the video looks interlaced if the software didn't cause this is divx , divx have recently included an update that will permit the lines and make the edn product interlace free
