None of my video software can detect my camera?
I’ve always used these programs with this camera, and it detects the device. Now when I go to capture it says "No video capture device detected" it always worked before. Please help I’m really pissed right now.

try running the error-checking/fixing software. Right click on the start button and select ‘explore’. Then highlight your Local Disk (C:). and right click and select ‘properties’. Now select the ‘tools’ tab and click the ‘check now’ button and check both boxes, then select ’start’. It will probably tell you the disk can’t be checked right now and would you like to schedule it to check next time you restart? Select ‘yes’ and restart your computer. It will take a long time to run it’s checks/fixes but I’ve seen if fix MANY a computer problem.
Maybe problem is with your computer and not on camera. Ask for help from computer xperts.
It is a common problem with Windows (generally not Mac) and has to do with the generic FireWire driver.
You may have to go to editing user groups and blogs for suggestions.
It usually involved tweeking the driver.
Whenever something goofy happens to my computer, I system restore back to when it worked.
