If you upload a video to Youtube from a non-hd camera, will it still be presented in hd if I use an hd format?

I have a Canon PowerShot SD 750 and it films at roughly 640×400. If I save it as an hd file on Windows Movie Maker, it claims to put it at 1080p with a speed of 7.8 mbps and 30 frames per second. However, when I saved a sample video in this file and compared it to the original, it looked slightly better, but it was much smaller. If I upload this onto youtube, will I still get the full hd?

What is happening in simple terms is that it is taking the pixels that are available and bringing them closer together. If you zoomed it into the same size as the original there would be no difference beyond human misperception. So if you upload it to youtube as HD it will be that small but still HD.
