In two TVs with the same size, a SD image will look better on the 720p than the 1080p because there is less scaling.</description>

720p is approximately the same resoulution as 1080i.

1080p is about 2 million pixels
720p is about 1 million pixels

the difference is the quality of the processor of your tv. That makes
