What is the best professional HD format?
I would like to know what the best format is so if one day i purchase 3 or 4 High Definition 1080i or 1080p professional video cameras and edit them if i bought a Mac Pro with Final Cut Pro 2 and edit the camera shots with Multi-cam and render it and burn it to Blu-Ray and down-convert it to PAL 576i Widescreen SD to burn onto DVD.
Give out your opinions on what is the best everyone.
I meant the formats available like HDV, Betacam, Panasonic P2 cards, etc

Probably the best for capturing HD content right now is HDCAM. Down from that is XDCAM. But those are professional.
Still down from there is something you’re more likely to be working with. I would recommend DVCPRO HD, which the HVX200 uses to shoot in 1080p. It’s a great format because, unlike HDV, you don’t get these highly compressed images they start to show their weaknesses when you start to edit them.
Also, it’s important to note that you probably want to buy cameras that give you the option of shooting in 1080p because 1080i (interlaced) is not the best quality.
The best professional format is 2160p
