Not sure, considering I don’t know what camera you have. I suggest you take the battery off the unit for about 5 minutes. Then, put it back on. That’s probably the best way to reset a camera.
Some Sony camcorders do but since you didn’t list your camcorder and if you still have the manual for it, look it up. Or go download one from the manufacturer’s download site.
