Why wont my windows vista computer let me put video on the computer from my JVC mini dv camera ?
Every time i do this nothing happens. So then i click import video from camera and it says my camera isnt hooked up or it isnt there.

a miniDV vcam must be DV~Firewire400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* application while vcam is ON PLAYBACK. Before cable purchase** check PC for DV port {VCAM@4pin=>firewireCABLE=>PC@4/ 6pin?}. If none, install firewire card: pci for desktop or pcmcia / express for laptop.
