I do have a digital camera, but it’s on its way out. I doubt that I’ll keep it for another 12 months. So I’m considering replacing it now. But I’m also interested in the kodak Camcorder. But I will not be uploading anything to be viewed online. All for personal usage.

I have the W230 model of the cybershot, I really really like them. I would go with that one, I’m not much of a fan of kodak anyway. For me, kodak only makes good disposable cameras, they aren’t really any count when it comes to digital cameras and camcorders. The cybershots take decent video footage as well and are fairly easy to use.
Edited to add: Taking video and putting it on a DVD is really easy to do with the Cybershots. I do that with a lot of footage I take of my kids. It’s also useful if you’re ever interested in uploading something to the net too.
Personally I would go with Sony W290.It can take picture and also take 720p high-definition movie
