I want a flash drive Hd camcorder for tapeing my family and traveling what is the best kind of flash drive hd camcorder to get?
Would you go with the Sony HDR-CX12 or Canon HF11?

WELL, if your planning on recording over 2 hours at a time without dumping the video, go with the sony HDR-SR11 or SR12. Its basically the same as the HDR-CX12, but has a biult in 120gb HDD and can record over 14 hours of HD video! The resolution is also a bit better than the CX12. Also, Flash drive camcorders use really high compression, so it makes the video quality bad. Finally, a 4 gb memory card can only record 25 minutes, which is tiny. If i were you go with the Sony HDR-SR12 or SR11. You will be way more happy. Hope I helped!
