How can I get Final Cut Express to recognize footage from my camera?

I am using a kodak Zi8, and I’m getting the constant renders that show my settings are wrong. What should they be?

The problem is the video you shoot is in an H.264 format. This is not easy video to edit even on Final Cut Pro. The best thing you can do is convert your video to a different format.

ooh, u know the videos that u shot with ur camera can’t be recognized directly by Final Cut Express, generally speaking Final Cut Express only support several file formats like DV, HDV, MOV, MPEG-4 etc, if u want to edit ur videos in Final Cut Express directly, u have to convert them to any of the above file formats, there is one application that may help u, u may just have a look, which can convert between almost all popular file formats, good luck
