Using an HD camcorder, how much memory will be used per minute?

In other words, how much HD footage can I take with 16G of memory? And 60G?

    Bit rates depend on the number of frames per second, and the HD size. Roughly,
    720p = 19 Mbps = 8 GB/hr
    1080i = 25 Mbps = 11 GB/hr

    So a 60 GB disk can hold anywhere from 5-7 hours of maximum quality video, and a 16GB card would hold 1-2 hours. Most cameras can record at lower settings, so those times can be increased by a factor of 4 or so at the expense of picture quality.
