    It definitely will make it look better, but you need to shoot the footage in a professional way, as well as edit it right. For editing, try AVID PINNACLE software.

    Just more convenient in storing the footage on the camera.

    It’s definitely nicer, because it saves the footage on an actual hard-drive, and there are no moving parts like with a MiniDV camcorder or one with an 8 mm tape. This makes the camera harder to break. Plus it’s easier to transfer the footage onto a computer.

    As for professional looking movies, use a Mac for editing, along with Final Cut Studio 2 software.
