I have the Zi8 kodak video camera and I cannot figure out how to get a plash when I take a picture so all my pics have been dark. Can someone please help me!! Thank You!!!

I need to purchase a cheap HD Camera and would like a kodak Zi8. The problem is that it has a fixed screen. Can the camera still record video while plugged into a TV (or computer for that matter) via the A/V out, HDMI out, or USB cable? Basically I need to plug in an external monitor and would prefer the A/V out to plug into an SD TV. Thanks.

Which one is better for a sixteen year old?

I am looking at buying a canon XL2 video camera, what video editing software do you recomend to use with this computer. I would like to edit the software on my PC with windows xp

my pc stutters and lags and makes the footage really jerky. The pc processor is 2GHZ, which is surely many hundreds of times faster than the camera’s microprocessor, which is probably an ARM or a motorola chip. Plus, the pc has 4gb of memory, whereas the camera probably only 64mb or 128mb. Could someone technically knowleadgable explain this to me?

I have a Canon XH A1 camcorder. It has a 4 pin firewire connector. The manual simply refers me to some 0 software package that Canon sells and I’m not interested in spending that amount of money to digitize the video.

So, what other software can I use to get the video from the camera into a video file on my PC? I have both a mac and a PC, so a package for either one will be fine (although I prefer PC).

Keep in mind that the camcorder outputs 1080i video, so the software needs to support that.

I was going to use it for home videos. Maybe make my own little videos/ short movies and use it to make reviews for my youtube channel.

I made a video on a friends video camera years ago and I still have the mini DV tape but I don’t know how to watch it since I don’t have a video camera. What do I do?

I will be getting an HD camcorder for christmas, however i am unfamiliar with this specific technology so I have a few questions:

- What format do HD camcorders normally output to?
- Is it possible to convert these to regular video files? (.mpg .avi etc) and if so which would be the best format to convert to whilst still retaining a good picture?

I have a 1080p HD TV, blu ray player and gold plated HDMI cables so viewing the files is not a problem, however I would like to burn the files to 4.7GB DVD discs if possible for storage and viewing on my blu ray player, again, is this possible?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated, thank you =D
