… 80x and 700x zoom. Whats the difference between digital and optical zoom? Are there any HD camcorders that you would recommend. I would like it to be able to capture beautiful pictures/video and record clear sound. Price limit is around 1,000$ (U.S.). I can go a little over the limit if necessary.

I am trying to find a camera that shoots really good pictures but also shoots HD videos as well. So far I really like the Lumix DMC-ZS3 but is there anything out there thats better or that you would recommend also are there any cameras that shoot videos in 1080p yet?

I have tons of mini video tapes from my video camera but it broke and i have no way to play them. I heard that you could hook up your camera to put the footage on disk but my cameras broken so idk what to do.

I have seen many tests for these cameras and they both seem great, i think the zi8 might be a little bit better, not sure. but i like the design of the mino better, is it that big of a difference that i should definitetly get get a zi8 instead?

the kodak in 30fps and RCA in 60 fps

kodak has image stabilization, but RCA takes 10mp stills
