I’m looking for a good video recorder to film my travels, and maybe even make a small documentary,

I’ve found a nice 3CCD camera, and a more modern 12 megapixel HD 1080p camera for about the same price, 0… which is my budget,

I want a small good HD Digital Camcorder . But which do I get? And were can I get it.
Also needs to be kinda cheap, thanks!

It doesn’t need to have good audio recording, i’m doing that separately. It should have at least 30 fps, be under 0, and not be one of those cameras that have all the pixel sensors, but take crappy video. Thanks,

I want a camera to make some beginner movies, but I want it to look somewhat cinematic. I know I would need 24p, 30p is fine enough. However, I want progressive frames, I can tell the difference and interlaced doesn’t look nearly as good. I want a dxg-595v, it’s not listed in the specs, how can I tell if it shoots progressive or interlaced? (it shoots 1080p at 30p)

okay. So at the moment my camera is busted. So I have no camera. I love making videos. maybe I will put them on youtube. I need to get a new camera. I am going to the beach in August. I am planning to buy a digital camcorder (my first camcorder) and am debating between HD and MiniDV. What are the pros and cons. Most manufacturers are offering MiniDV. Is it a superior technology? And any recommendations for a nOOb.

I do have a digital camera, but it’s on its way out. I doubt that I’ll keep it for another 12 months. So I’m considering replacing it now. But I’m also interested in the kodak Camcorder. But I will not be uploading anything to be viewed online. All for personal usage.

ok so i’m shopping for mini DV camcorders on ebay. and i was wondering how many Mega Pixels should a good one have?
i saw some from china on ebay that have 3.1….is this enough? what is the standard? i’d love to have more info on this.
