I have read many reviews of people saying that it is a nice little camera, but doesn’t have great resolution for a large 42" 1080P TV like I own. This seems like a nice camera for the price, but should I spend another 0 and upgrade it to something like the JVC GZ-HD300 for better quality? Or is there any Free Software for editing Video Quality?

I am an avid outdoors person, and want to have some nice videos of many of the activities that I am involved in like biking, hiking, snowmobiling, dirt-biking, etc. This camera would be used quite a bit for outdoor sports, special occasions and vacationing and I would like to have good quality videos.

I’d like to here your personal opinions on these two cameras.
