I’m looking for a HD camera for under $250. Know of any?
I would like the camera to have at least:
1920 x 1080 vid resolution
effective 5 megapixel video
30-60p fps
low lux
1/10000 shutter min 1 sec
1080p vid playback
even if you know of a cam that doesn’t meet all my requirements please list it anyway. Thanks
Is there a 120Hz HD Camcorder on the Market? (120fps HD camera)?
With all the craze of the latest 120Hz LCD TVs, it seems only natural if there were camcorders out there that sport 120 FRAMES PER SECOND RECORDING. However, it seems this logic is rather illogical when it comes to trying to find one of these things.
In my searches, I’ve only found that if a camera is 120Hz or above, they are only used in the bio mechanical field for slow motion shots. I would like to capture 120 fps progressive scan 1080p video for display on these new 120Hz TVs. Is there a product on the market for me?
"Steve H" below said that the eye cannot see beyond 30fps. This is variably incorrect, and in fact, the average human eye can see refresh rates nearer to 80fps. Anything above that becomes more and more unnoticeable. Certain people’s eyes vary GREATLY in motion perception. I have met people who can only notice 30fps, others that can see 60fps, all the way up to pilot friends of mine that can see higher than 80fps. It’s all dependent upon your genes, training, vision quality and perception.
If you upload a video to Youtube from a non-hd camera, will it still be presented in hd if I use an hd format?
I have a Canon PowerShot SD 750 and it films at roughly 640×400. If I save it as an hd file on Windows Movie Maker, it claims to put it at 1080p with a speed of 7.8 mbps and 30 frames per second. However, when I saved a sample video in this file and compared it to the original, it looked slightly better, but it was much smaller. If I upload this onto youtube, will I still get the full hd?
HD camera video to regular format?
I will be getting an HD camcorder for christmas, however i am unfamiliar with this specific technology so I have a few questions:
- What format do HD camcorders normally output to?
- Is it possible to convert these to regular video files? (.mpg .avi etc) and if so which would be the best format to convert to whilst still retaining a good picture?
I have a 1080p HD TV, blu ray player and gold plated HDMI cables so viewing the files is not a problem, however I would like to burn the files to 4.7GB DVD discs if possible for storage and viewing on my blu ray player, again, is this possible?
Any answers would be greatly appreciated, thank you =D
