Do you need to use the High definition MiniDV tapes with a HD camcorder?
From what I’ve read online, you can use regular MiniDV tapes to record HD video, but the salesman in Circuit City said that you need to use the more expensive High Definition tapes. To me it doesn’t make sense, because it’s all just digital storage, and the HD compresses to the same data rate as the DV anyway.

What kind of HD camcorder should I get for amateur movies?
I need a cheap (0 to 0) high definition camcorder that has good picture quality for cheap films and records onto DVD/harddrive/card. Preferably not a vertical style camcorder. What would be the best quality and easiest to use?
Anybody have trouble editing HD video from your hd camcorder?
I’m trying to decide what kind of camcorder to buy. I’d really like to get a high definition cam, but i read alot of reviews of people saying "no editing software supports editing hd video".
How is your experience? Have you been able to edit HD successfully or is this damn near impossible to do at this time?

High Definition camera?
Ok, so i have an hd cam, but im still waiting on my SDHC class 6 card. so im using my normal 2Gb SD card, but i upload the videos to my computer and it dosen’t look that great, and is set to 1080p. I wanted to know is it cause the SD card, or what. Im thinking it is since, i looked up, and it says SDHC stands for secure degital high capacity, so im thinking that higher quality but i just want to make sure, cause maybe the cam corder isn’t that good.
What is the best professional HD format?
I would like to know what the best format is so if one day i purchase 3 or 4 High Definition 1080i or 1080p professional video cameras and edit them if i bought a Mac Pro with Final Cut Pro 2 and edit the camera shots with Multi-cam and render it and burn it to Blu-Ray and down-convert it to PAL 576i Widescreen SD to burn onto DVD.

What Is The Smallest, Best HD Camcorder?
I need help finding the best HD camcorder for what I plan to use it for. I’m planning trips to amusement parks this summer and I’m looking for the smallest, yet best camcorder I can have. I’m looking for a camcorder that has a fairly long-lasting battery and plenty of memory to record with. I also want one that has a nice zoom with high definition all while being as small as I can get to fit in my pocket or a small bag.
Approximately how many minutes does a 4gb sd card record using a hd digital camcorder?
I’m planning to go snowboard this year and i don’t have a camcorder. So i was viewing many different types of camcorders and I found some that are high definition and they are not very expensive. So i want to know how this deal of sd cards work. I couldn’t find any info in the camcorder’s technical details about how much video it records. The SD card technical detail does not say anything either. So if anybody that knows a little about this can help me, i will appreciate it. Also if you can give me an advice of what could be a nice hd camcorder that won’t go over 0. Or what do you recommend me to buy having in mind that the device will work in low temperature. I’m worried about the quality, but if there is not much difference between a regular digital camcorder’s quality of image and a high definition one, also let me know. Thanks!!! And excuse my English!
What computer should I get for HD video editing?
I recently purchased Sony’s HDR-HC1 high-definition camcorder, and I found out my current computer is way too slow for HD video editing. I want to purchase a brand new PC or Mac to get the job done (since my current PC is a 6-year-old 1Ghz Athlon dinosaur). Should I stay on PC platform, or should I switch to Mac? Either way, what is the spec of the computer I should get? I appreciate your sharing of your own experience!
