Is it possible to recover an HD movie recorded on a camcorder if the power was unplugged?
I was recently video taping an event and someone kicked the power cord out from the outlet, which turned off the camera. This morning, when importing the videos, I noticed that the first 40 minutes was missing from the memory card.
Is there any way of finding the lost footage or do I need to hit the REC button for it to successfully save to the memory card? It is a Panasonic HD Camcorder. Thanks!

I’ve found a nice 3CCD camera, and a more modern 12 megapixel HD 1080p camera for about the same price, 0… which is my budget,

Need a good HD camcorder. Considering TM300. Is this the right call or should I get EOS7D instead?
I’m looking for a good camcorder. My intention is to record my baby’s moments, I’ll utilize it for everyday recording so to speak. Now I see Panasonic TM300 as a good choice with positive reviews. On the other hand there’re very good SLR’s capable to record HD movie. Which one’s quality is better, what do you suggest for me to go for ?

My Panasonic 3CCD mini DV video camera is not detected by windows movie maker when plugged in?

What is the best professional HD format?
I would like to know what the best format is so if one day i purchase 3 or 4 High Definition 1080i or 1080p professional video cameras and edit them if i bought a Mac Pro with Final Cut Pro 2 and edit the camera shots with Multi-cam and render it and burn it to Blu-Ray and down-convert it to PAL 576i Widescreen SD to burn onto DVD.
Give out your opinions on what is the best everyone.
I meant the formats available like HDV, Betacam, Panasonic P2 cards, etc
is PAL 1080p/25 hd video always interlaced?
The reason I’m asking is because I’m getting confused.
My camera (Panasonic HDC-HS9) is filming at it’s highest rate of 1920×1080p and it’s a PAL camera as I’m in the UK, so I’m assuming it’s 25fps.
The native AVCHD format is a bit too much for my system, so I’m trying to encode the video to a format with similar quality with the Adobe Media Encoder.
Even when I bring a raw .m2ts straight from the camera into Premiere, the footage looks interlaced in the monitor window.
If anyone could shed a little light, that’d be great as I’m very confused.
Many thanks
