Does anyone do any video editing? I would like to record some 1080p, and then transfer it to the Mac to edit and share with my family.

I’m looking more for ease of use, internal memory (a lot of it) and most of all, the best video quality for a direct import into programs ranging from iMovie, to Final Cut.

i have a Sony DCR-DVD92…i first bought -R dvd’s and i found out i couldn’t edit it on my computer(like add music, stuff and later burn it onto a disk) i found out that i needed a different dvd. So i
bought +RW. i haven’t opened it and im hoping i can record and edit the dvd…did i buy the right dvd’s? PLZ help :D
what’s does the finalize button do?
i pressed tht button…is that why i couldn’t edit the dvd-R? i read the instructions
but i still don’t understand thnx

I bought an HD camcorder (Sony HDR-SR11) to film my vacation and other future events. And I wanted to make some movies of my events. I have a graphic design background, so i’m pretty good with computers. However video editing is like a whole new world for me, so i wanted to know which is the best editing software out right now? is it vegas 8, premiere, final cut pro? or any other for that matter

I’m looking for a good camcorder for uploading to the internet and/or video editing. I’m starting a web show/video blog. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated (0-00ish)

Pro Premier vs Element Which video editing would you guys recommend? I am looking to edit a home video for a family member of mine, with pictures and videos in the same video. I heard that Pro Premier is the best, but I am not sure if I can add pictures in the video that I would be making. In the other hand, I heard that element is good as well.
Please help. I need a good advice 

I am very new to video editing and I have just figured out how to capture footage from my camcorder to my pc. When I do this however, the time and date settings from the footage is lost. It’s a canon camcorder and I have tried with pinnacle and ulead. Any suggestions?

I recently purchased Sony’s HDR-HC1 high-definition camcorder, and I found out my current computer is way too slow for HD video editing. I want to purchase a brand new PC or Mac to get the job done (since my current PC is a 6-year-old 1Ghz Athlon dinosaur). Should I stay on PC platform, or should I switch to Mac? Either way, what is the spec of the computer I should get? I appreciate your sharing of your own experience!
